The Drohobych community has suffered another painful loss – 39-year-old Stanislav Haas from Stebnyk was killed while defending Ukraine from the enemy. Today, the funeral convoy with the Hero’s body will arrive in his home community.
Stanislav Haas was born on 15 August 1984 in Drohobych. He lived in Stebnyk, studied at Stebnyk School No. 6, and later in Lviv at the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management. After graduation, Stanislav joined the army, where he was a senior sergeant.
After the army, Stanislav got married and lived and worked in Ivano-Frankivsk for some time.
During the full-scale invasion of the enemy, the man joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and stood up to defend his country. Unfortunately, while performing combat missions to defend Ukraine, on 27 May, Stanislav was killed in action with the enemy.
The deceased is survived by his wife Iryna, daughter Eva, parents, brother Andrii and his wife Ola, brother Artur and his wife Nataliia, relatives, friends, acquaintances and colleagues.
The Drohobych City Council, its Executive Committee, Mayor Taras Kuchma and Council Secretary Orest Karakevych express their sincere condolences to the family, relatives, friends and relatives of our countryman and Hero Stanislav Haas.

The funeral convoy with the body of the fallen soldier is expected to arrive today – 31 May. The meeting at the Heroes’ crossroads will take place at 15:00.
At 15:30, a citywide farewell will be held on Shevchenko Square in Stebnyk.
The funeral service will take place tomorrow at 11:00 am in the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Stebnyk. The deceased will be buried in Stebnyk at the cemetery on Volodymyr the Great Street.
