On 4 October, a dozen servicemen of the military unit 3002 of the Western Operational and Territorial Association of the National Guard of Ukraine returned to their hometown from the frontline in the Pokrovsk sector.
The warriors were met on the road by the commander of the Drohobych patrol company, Major Roman Alberda, who invited them to the unit for a pleasant mission: to be awarded with certificates and letters of thanks from the mayor.
The courageous defenders, who went through the hell of military operations, were met at the unit by the head of the community Taras Kuchma, the chief specialist of the department of social, psychological, legal support and interaction with defenders and their families of the Drohobych City Council Mariana Bechkalo and all the personnel and management of the military unit
First of all, the head of the community thanked the defenders for their courage and heroism on the frontline and for consciously protecting the state’s borders from the occupier.
Thank you for defending the borders of the state and returning to your homes. I can see in your eyes and understand what you have been through. Today we thank God for bringing you back to your hometown alive and unharmed. Gain strength and breathe in the air of your native land,” Taras Kuchma wished the soldiers, .
Then, the head of the community together with Roman Alberda awarded the servicemen with diplomas and letters of gratitude on the occasion of the Day of Defender of Ukraine in gratitude for their high professionalism, courage and significant contribution to the defence of independence.
The following received diplomas from the mayor:
Bohdan Savchenko – a rifleman of the 3rd squad of the 2nd patrol platoon of the patrol company of Drohobych, soldier,
Yuriy Mykhalchuk – head of the canteen of the combat and logistics platoon of the patrol company of Drohobych, staff sergeant,
Stepan Pshenytskyi – tactical training instructor for public order protection of the group of instructors of the patrol company in Drohobych, Senior Sergeant,
Received letters of appreciation from the Mayor:
– Yaroslav Shtereb – senior bus driver of the motor vehicle department of the combat and logistics platoon of the Drohobych patrol company, junior sergeant,
– Ihor Hladkyi – the head of the military unit of the 2nd patrol platoon of the patrol company of Drohobych, sergeant,
– Volodymyr Dynda – assistant to the head of the military unit of the 3rd patrol division of the 1st patrol platoon of the patrol company of Drohobych, soldier,
– Vadym Syretsiv – rifleman of the 1st squad of the 2nd patrol platoon of the patrol company of Drohobych, senior sergeant.
Mayor Taras Kuchma also awarded Nazariy Fedun, assistant chief of the military unit of the 2nd squad of the 1st patrol platoon of the Drohobych patrol company, senior soldier, with a special insignia “For Merit to the City of Drohobych”.
In addition, the head of the community handed the soldiers awards from the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
