From now on, residents of the western regions of Ukraine who wish to join the Third Separate Assault Brigade do not need to go to Kyiv to submit documents and pass an interview – this can be done in Lviv.
The brigade recruiting center was opened today, July 22, in our city. The brigade emphasizes that before being sent to the combat zone, new recruits undergo two months of military training.
The new recruiting center was inspected by Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy.
“We all want the war to end tomorrow. But we also all want the war to end with the deoccupation of all our lands. Therefore, every man must understand that the state must be defended. They come here, to this center, of their own free will. Those who have the core of a warrior from birth,” said Mayor Andrii Sadovyi during the opening of the center.
In order to join the ranks of the Third Assault Brigade, you need to fill out an application form. After that, the potential candidate will be invited to an interview and a physical test at the recruiting center. After the interview and a positive resolution, the candidate submits the necessary documents to the military unit. After enlistment, he undergoes basic military training. After – spends 30 days in a training center. Next is a 5-week “young fighter course” conducted by veterans of the brigade and experienced instructors. And then, after more than two months of training, the fighter goes to his unit. It is also important that a new recruit can choose one or another unit of the brigade.
“It can be infantry, mechanized or assault battalions – there is an opportunity to choose.
Our brigade has been in the direction of Bakhmut for six months. We have a very high level of training. Our command is veterans of “Azov”, SSO, that is, people who have participated in hostilities since 2014, who have experience and have good organizational skills. 80% of our brigade consists of volunteers and shows good results on the battlefield,” said Taras Korzhenko, head of the recruiting center of the Third Separate Assault Brigade.
