Two fictitious couples were found at the Krakivets checkpoint

To be fair: in Krakivets, two ladies watched their exes go abroad with fictitious wives

A 26-year-old and a 44-year-old native of Vinnytsia and Ternopil regions divorced their wives and entered into fictitious marriages with others in order to obtain the right to accompany a person with a disability abroad.

In one case, a 26-year-old man entered into a fictitious marriage with a 41-year-old woman with a group II disability. After smuggling her “husband,” the woman was to receive $1,500.

In another case, a 44-year-old man married a lady who is 10 years older than him and has a group I disability. The woman was to receive $1,000 for her services.

Interestingly, the fraudsters also took their ex-wives with them, traveling with them in the same vehicles.

As a result, operatives of the 7th Border Guard Detachment of the Carpathian border guard detachment sent a report to the National Police about the detection of signs of illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine. In two cases, the information was registered in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations.
