A wonderful event has taken place in the Sokal community—Ruslan and Diana, both from Komariv, have tied the knot! Growing up on the same street, they had known each other since childhood, maintaining a close friendship. However, it was in 2020 that they realized they couldn’t imagine life without one another.
Diana pursued studies at a pedagogical college, while Ruslan took a job as an underground locksmith at the “Velykomostivska” mine, saving money for their future wedding. But the war disrupted their plans—in June 2023, Ruslan was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Despite the distance, the couple remained in constant touch. The moment Ruslan received leave, they went straight to the “CNAP” department of the Sokal City Council to officially register their marriage.
We wish Ruslan and Diana a strong and happy family life in a peaceful Ukraine! And today, as tradition goes—”Hirko molodym!” (Bitter for the newlyweds!)
