Again, sad news came to the Sokal community. Our countryman, a resident of the village, died in the war with the occupier. Volodymyr Yaroslavovich Zhvyrka Tomchyshyn, born in 1978.
The sad news was reported in the Sokal city council.
He was a member of the ATO, this year he was called up for military service on March 8, 2022. A true patriot, a faithful son of Ukraine, died from multiple severe wounds received as a result of artillery shelling. He gave his life for our Motherland, for the peaceful life of each of us.
We must always remember at what high cost our soldiers choose victory.
The Sokal City Council expresses its deepest condolences to Hero’s mother and three children. Eternal memory to Volodymyr Tomchyshyn, our Hero, who will forever be 44.
