During the pre-trial investigation, police found that during a domestic conflict, a 71-year-old resident of Sheptytskyi stabbed the victim about twenty times, causing fatal injuries.

He faces up to fifteen years in prison for his crime.
The incident took place on 6 August at around seven o’clock in the morning in an apartment in a house on Ivasyuk Street in Sheptytskyi. As established by criminal police operatives together with investigators of the Chervonohrad District Police Department, a 43-year-old local resident was visiting his 71-year-old acquaintance.
The men were drinking alcohol when a conflict arose between them, during which the host stabbed his guest about twenty times in different parts of the body, causing fatal injuries.
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings initiated under the procedural supervision of the Chervonohrad District Prosecutor’s Office under Part 1 of Article 115 (Murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine has been completed. The indictment was sent to the court for consideration.
The accused faces a sentence of imprisonment for a term of seven to fifteen years.
