🕯️ Roman Shayuk
Lviv resident.
After graduation, he worked first in property protection services and later in advertising.
At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he served in the 233rd Training Centre of the Land Forces. Later, he defended the state as a member of the 53rd separate mechanised brigade named after Prince Volodymyr Monomakh and the 61st separate mechanised steppe brigade. He performed combat missions in the eastern direction.
🕯️ Roman Gomziak
He was born in Sambir. He was the junior sergeant, gun commander of the self-propelled artillery platoon of the military unit A0284.
He died on 30 May in Chuhuiv district, Kharkiv region.
🕯️ Roman Soroka
A native of the village Voroniaky, Zolochiv district. He was a soldier. He was called up for military service on 1 March, 2022.
In his civilian life, he was a professional footballer, playing for Niva Ternopil, and competed in the Ukrainian Premier League.
He died during a combat mission in the border area of Kharkiv region on 27 May 2024. He was 46 years old.
🕯️Також Lviv region said goodbye to combat medic, media personality and public figure Iryna Tsybukh (“Cheka”).
Born in Lviv, she studied journalism at Lviv Polytechnic and joined the team of the Public Broadcasting Company in 2017. There, she worked on the reform of Public Broadcasting, prepared interregional specials, made documentaries, and headed regional branches of the public broadcaster in different regions.
Iryna has always had an active patriotic and civic stance. Since 2015, she has been involved in volunteer work. She studied medicine at the Main Lead White Berets Special Forces medical unit and with American doctors, where she gained basic skills. She gained more extensive practice at the Hospitallers.
On 24 February 2022, to save and protect, she interrupted her studies and returned to the ranks of the Hospitallers volunteer medical battalion as a combat medic, and later headed the 5th crew. She took part in defence operations in Kyiv and Donetsk regions – from Vuhledar to Lyman, Avdiivka, Maryinka, Bakhmut, worked in the Serebryansky Forest and in the Kharkiv sector.
In November 2023, she received an award from the President of Ukraine – the Order of Merit III degree. In March 2024, Iryna Tsybukh won the UP 100. The Power of Women” award.
She died on 29 May 2024 in the Kharkiv sector while performing a combat mission.
