In memory of Ivan Yakubovsky, a heroically fallen defender of Ukraine, a solemn unveiling of a memorial plaque took place on January 31st in the Sheptytsky district on the facade of the Ilkovytse educational institution. Yakubovsky was a graduate of this institution and joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine in February 2022, serving as a grenadier in military unit A4350.
This mark of recognition became the third on the facade of this educational establishment, which already has memorial plaques for other hero graduates, Andriy Kostenetsky and Borys Stepanyuk, who also sacrificed their lives for Ukraine’s bright future.
Unfortunately, Ivan Yakubovsky, a young warrior, died at the age of 28 on January 14, 2024, in Maryinka, Donetsk region, while carrying out a combat mission. His sacrifice and contribution to the defense of the Fatherland will remain in the memory of generations to come.
