According to the Decree of the President of Ukraine, Stepan Horoniy was awarded an honorary award. The award was presented to the family of the fallen soldier by Yaroslav Komynskyi, head of the Yavoriv District State Administration, together with a representative of the Yavoriv Regional Center for the RCCC and JV.
Stepan Horonyi was born in the village of Ivano-Frankove. Since 2014, he has been performing combat missions in the ATO zone, and later participated in the Joint Forces Operation.
He served in the military unit A7087.
The defender died on September 9, 2022 in the Kherson region.
He was 31 years old.
