In accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine, Lubomyr Babyak was awarded the honorary order “For Courage” of the 3rd degree.
Volodymyr Gutnyk, the head of the Zymnovodov village council, presented the award to the Hero’s family.
Lubomyr Bab’yak is a resident of the village of Zimna Voda. In 2022, he was awarded the medal “For Military Service to Ukraine”. With the beginning of the full-scale war, he fought as part of the 80th brigade of military unit 0284, the second mortar battalion.
Died on August 13, 2023, near the village of Ivanivske, Donetsk region, while performing a combat mission.
He was 47 years old.
