On February 10, a memorial service was held near the grave of defender of Ukraine Vasyl Pelish in Stary Sambor.
On the birthday of the hero from Aida, relatives, clergymen, representatives of the city authorities and residents of the city came to honor his memory. The memorial service was conducted by Fr. Mykhailo Nikolin, the secretary of the city council Ihor Zhuk and the head of the culture department Ihor Piho laid flowers at the hero’s grave.
Vasyl Petrovich Pelysh died on September 18, 2022 in a hospital in Dnipro. When the full-scale invasion began, Vasyl went to defend Ukraine. In Donetsk region, he was wounded in the head while transporting things necessary for soldiers from the second front line to the first.
The guy defended Ukraine back in 2014. Then he was wounded in a heavy battle, captured by the enemies. When they saw a tattoo in the shape of a Trident on his arm, they cut off the boy’s arm. With the beginning of a full-scale invasion, Vasyl again went to defend Ukraine.
