On December 11, 2023, our Defender Mykhailo Anatoliyovych Voytun, born in 1996, a resident of Sokal, died while performing a combat mission during hostilities in the Donetsk region.
Sad news was announced today in the Sokal City Council.
He was conscripted into military service on June 16, 2023 by the First Department of the Chervonograd RTCC and SP, and served as a branch commander of the amphibious assault branch of military unit A0224.
From now on, he will forever be 27… He still had to live and live on his mind, to raise children, but the cursed enemy cut short his young life. Defender Mykhailo Voytun is survived by his parents, wife Hanna, children Diana, Anora, Radimir, Zlata, three sisters and a brother.
We meet the Hero’s body in Sokal today at 4:00 p.m. near the church of St. Peter and Paul. Parastas will take place immediately after the arrival of the Hero’s body in the room of sorrow.
We ask the community to welcome the Hero with flowers, lamps and flags.
Mykhailo Voytun’s funeral will begin tomorrow, December 23, at 12:00 p.m. in the Church of Saints Peter and Paul. The Hero will find his eternal rest on the Alley of Glory in the new cemetery.
