Tomorrow Lviv will say goodbye to defenders Mykola Lenkeyev and Serhiy Pruglo

On Monday, 30 September, Lviv will say goodbye to soldiers Mykola Lenkeyev and Serhiy Pruhle, who were killed by Russian occupiers while defending Ukraine. The mayor’s office calls on citizens to join the city’s farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertainment and celebrations during this time.

The funeral service for Mykola Lenkeyev and Serhiy Pruhle will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of the Apostles Peter and Paul. Peter and Paul, followed by a citywide farewell ceremony on Rynok Square.

Both fallen defenders will be buried at Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv.

Mykola Lenkeiev (27.04.1971-15.09.2024) was born in Bakhmut, Donetsk region.

He studied at Bakhmut Secondary School No. 7 of Bakhmut City Council, Donetsk Oblast. He received vocational education at the State Educational Institution “Bakhmut Professional Agricultural Lyceum”.

After graduation, he served in the tank troops.

Upon returning, he first worked at a local military unit, then at a road transport company. He also ran a private business. According to his family, he loved beautiful things.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he defended the state from the invaders. He performed combat missions in Kharkiv, Donetsk and Luhansk regions in the ranks of the 11th Border Guard Detachment of the Kramatorsk Detachment of the Eastern Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

Mykola Lenkeiev is survived by his wife and daughter.

Serhii Pruhlo (31.08.1998-22.09.2024) Born in Tokmak, Zaporizhzhia region.

He studied at the General Secondary Education Institution No. 6 of the Tokmak City Council. He graduated from the State Educational Institution “Multidisciplinary Centre for Vocational Education” with a degree in “Cook and Confectioner”.

Later, the family moved to Lviv. Here, he worked as a receptionist at the Nova Poshta branch No. 4. In his spare time, he was actively involved in sports, including football and tennis, and painted a lot.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he defended the state from the occupiers. He performed combat missions to defend the sovereignty and independence of the state in the ranks of the 49th separate assault battalion “Carpathian Sich” named after Oleh Kutsyn of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Serhiy Pruhlo is survived by his wife and son.
