Tomorrow, Lviv will say goodbye to defenders Anatoly Berezyak and Oleg Pavlov

Pavlov, who died at the hands of the Russian occupiers while defending Ukraine. The City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertainment events and celebrations during this time.

The servicemen’s funeral will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul, at 10:30 a city farewell ceremony will take place on Rynok Square. The soldiers will be buried at the Lychakiv cemetery.

Studied at Secondary Secondary School No. 68 of Lviv. In peacetime, he was engaged in private business and was in the Republic of Estonia. He was engaged in collecting coins, was an exceptionally loving husband and father.

With the beginning of a full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he returned from abroad and, despite the lack of any military experience, stood up for the defense of the Motherland. He fought against the Russian invaders in the Kharkiv region in the ranks of the 60th separate Ingulets infantry brigade of the Reserve Corps of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Oleg Pavlov is survived by his wife, three children, a sister and nephews.

He studied at the former Secondary Secondary School No. 26 of the city of Lviv. In 1986, he entered the Lviv Secondary Vocational and Technical School No. 56.

During the years 2011-2015, he held the position of driver of motor vehicles in the Public Joint-Stock Company “Zahidenergo”. Later, he worked as a driver in the Limited Liability Company “Hmylny Dim” and LLC “Lviv Beer Company”. In his free time, he was fond of fishing, loved active recreation in nature. He was an exceptionally kind, cheerful person and a caring family man.

With the beginning of a full-scale invasion, the Russian Federation stood up to protect the Motherland from the invaders. He defended the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the state in the ranks of the 30th separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Konstantin of Ostroh of the Operational Command “North” of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Performed combat tasks in the eastern direction of the front.

Anatoly Berezyak is survived by his wife, son and daughter.
