Tomorrow, Lviv will say goodbye to defender Nazar Murdza

On Tuesday, September 26, Lviv will say goodbye to serviceman Nazar Murdza, who defended Ukraine from the Russian invaders. The City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertainment events and celebrations during this time.

The serviceman’s funeral will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul, at 11:30 a city farewell ceremony will take place on Rynok Square. The soldier will be buried at the Lychakiv cemetery.

Nazar Murdza (13.07.1994-19.09.2023). A native of the village of Trukhaniv, Lviv region.

He studied at the former Kraków Boarding School of the I-II degrees. He received his education at the State Educational Institution “Stavropygius Higher Vocational School of the City of Lviv” with the specialty “Carpenter, painter-plasterer”.

After completing his studies, he worked for a certain period as a handyman at the Yaniv cemetery. In 2018, he joined the “Emaus – Oselya” mutual aid community in Vinnyky, because he wanted to help people.

In 2022, Nazar Murdza decided to start an independent life and got a job in Lviv.

With the beginning of a full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he voluntarily joined the ranks of the Marine Corps to defend the Motherland.

Nazar Murdza was an orphan. The Hero is survived by friends, classmates and distant relatives.
