Tomorrow, December 17, Lviv will say goodbye to Hero Mykola Voytovych, who died defending Ukraine from the Russian invaders. The City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertainment events and celebrations during this time.
The funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul, at 10:30 a.m. – city farewell ceremony on Rynok Square.
The Hero will be buried in the village of Ryasne-Ruske.
Biographical reference of the Hero
Mykola Voytovych (19.12.1993-06.12.2022) native of Lviv.
Studied at the Lviv secondary sanatorium-boarding school No. 1 for children with cardiovascular diseases. He graduated from the Lviv Cooperative Vocational College of Economics and Law, then entered the Lviv Polytechnic National University.
He studied at the military department of the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Peter Sagaidachny. For 9 years, he worked as a sales manager of the “Rud” brand.
Lieutenant. With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he defended the Motherland from the Russian invaders, spent six months in the capital in the ranks of the Separate Presidential Regiment named after Hetman Bohdan Khmelnytskyi. Subsequently, he performed combat missions in the eastern direction as part of the A4219 military unit.
Mykola Voytovych is survived by his parents, wife, son, grandmother and brother.
