Tomorrow Lviv will say goodbye to Heroes Andrii Zhinchuk, Mykhailo Movchan, Roman Andriiv

On Wednesday, July 19, Lviv will say goodbye to three Heroes. Andriy Zhinchuk, Mykhailo Movchan, Roman Andriyev defended Ukraine from the Russian invaders. The City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertainment events and celebrations during this time.

The funeral service of Mykhailo Movchan and Roman Andriyev will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul, at 11:30 a city farewell ceremony will take place on Rynok Square. Heroes will be buried at the Lychakiv cemetery.

Farewell to Andrii Zhinchuk will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the family residence in Bryukhovychy (Nezalezhnoi Ukrainy St., 48), and at 12:00 p.m. the funeral service will take place in the Church of the Holy Mother of God. The Hero will be buried at the Bryukhovytskyi cemetery.

Studied at school I-III degrees No. 321 of Desnyan district of Kyiv. He received his education at the separate structural unit “Kyiv Professional College of Restaurant Management of the National University of Food Technologies”. He worked in the public catering establishment “This is”.

In his spare time, he liked to read and did computer programming.

With the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, sergeant Serhiy Mykhalchuk of the National Guard of Ukraine joined the ranks of the 4th brigade of the operational assignment named after the Hero of Ukraine to defend the Motherland.

Roman Andriyev is survived by his wife, two daughters and a brother.

He studied at the General Secondary School No. 25 of the city of Lviv (now the “Oriyana” Lyceum of the Lviv City Council). After completing his studies, he served in the military as part of the Western Territorial Department of the National Guard of Ukraine.

In peacetime, he worked at the Kordiya Limited Liability Company, later at local private enterprises. He was fond of fishing and mushroom picking.

In 2015, he performed combat missions in the area of the anti-terrorist operation in the ranks of the A3948 military unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he joined the territorial defense. Defended the state in the ranks of the 125th separate territorial defense brigade of the “West” regional administration of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Andrii Zhinchuk is survived by his father, wife, aunts, brothers, sisters, nephews and godchildren.

Studied at Secondary School No. 89 (now – Lyceum “Sikhivskyi” of the Lviv City Council). Graduated from the Lviv Vocational College of Hotel, Tourism and Restaurant Service. After completing his studies, he completed his military service in Lviv.

In peacetime, he worked as a freight forwarder. Loved dancing and music.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he volunteered to defend the Motherland from the invaders. Performed combat missions in the eastern direction in the ranks of the 115th separate mechanized brigade of the Ground Forces Reserve Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Mykhailo Movchan is survived by his mother, wife, two children, sister and brother.
