Tomorrow, Lviv will say goodbye to Heroes Petro Solotva and Mykhailo Chuchman

Tomorrow, March 29, Lviv will say goodbye to two Heroes. Mykhailo Chuchman and Petro Solotva died in the battle with the Russian invaders. The City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertainment events and celebrations during this time.

The funeral of the Heroes will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul, at 11:30 a.m. – city farewell ceremony on Rynok Square.

Heroes will be buried at the Lychakiv cemetery.

Biographical references of Heroes

 

Petro Solotva (21.07.1992-24.03.2023). A native of the village of Sknyliv, Lviv region.
He studied at the Sknyliv institution of general secondary education of the I-II degrees. Received vocational and technical education at the State Vocational and Technical Educational Institution “Chervonen Higher Vocational School”.

After completing his studies, in 2010-2012 he served in the Navy in Sevastopol.

In 2014, he performed combat missions in the anti-terrorist operation zone in the ranks of the 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Danylo of the “West” operational command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After returning to civilian life, he worked in the construction industry.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he defended the Motherland from the invaders and defended the state as part of the same 24th Brigade named after King Danylo.

Peter Solotva is survived by his parents, wife, two sisters and two brothers.

 

Mykhailo Chuchman (November 21, 1971-March 25, 2023). A native of the village of Pidlysya, Lviv region, later lived in the village of Cheremoshnya.

He studied at the Markiyan Shashkevych general secondary education institution of grades I-III in Bilokami. He graduated from the former Vocational and Technical School No. 56 of the city of Lviv. After completing his studies, he served in the ranks of the missile forces.

In peacetime, he held the position of electrician at the State Enterprise “Lvivprilad”, later worked at the Private Enterprise “Bekas-Bud”.

In 2015, he performed combat missions in the area of the anti-terrorist operation as part of the 79th separate airborne assault brigade of the Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he joined the ranks of the 80th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade of the Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, held the position of chief sergeant of the battery, and later of the company. He fought with the invaders in the eastern direction.

Mykhailo Chuchman is survived by his wife, two daughters and a granddaughter.
