Tomorrow, January 13, Lviv will say goodbye to Pavlo Malakhovsky, who died defending Ukraine from the Russian invaders. The City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertainment events and celebrations during this time.
The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul, at 11:30 a city farewell ceremony will take place on Rynok Square. The Hero will be buried at the Lychakiv cemetery.

Biographical reference of the Hero
Pavlo Malakhovskyi (October 6, 1987-January 3, 2023) from Lviv.
Studied at secondary comprehensive school of grades I-III No. 86. Graduated from the University of Banking in Lviv.
In peacetime, he worked at the Public Joint-Stock Company “Ukrainian Innovative Bank”, later – at the Limited Liability Company “Absolut Finance Financial Company”. During 2020-2021, he worked at Nova Poshta LLC.
He was fond of cars, in childhood he was involved in boxing.
From the first days of the full-scale invasion, he went to war as a volunteer. He fought against the terrorist state in the ranks of the 106th separate territorial defense brigade of the “West” Regional Directorate of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the southern and eastern directions.
Pavlo Malakhovsky is survived by his parents, grandmother, two brothers, a son, two aunts, cousins and a sister.
