Tomorrow, Lviv will say goodbye to three Heroes who defended Ukraine

On Tuesday, April 4, Lviv will say goodbye to three more Heroes. Maxim Deputy, Roman Borovyk, Vladyslav Zahorulko died defending Ukraine from the Russian invaders. The City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertainment events and celebrations during this time.

The funeral of Maksym Deputat and Roman Borovyk will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul (11 Teatralna St.), at 11:30 a city farewell ceremony will be held on Rynok Square.

The funeral service of Vladyslav Zagorulka will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Golgotha Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (2A Skrypnyka St.).

Heroes will be buried at the Lychakiv cemetery.

 

Biographical references of Heroes

 

Maksym Deputy (04/05/1988-03/29/2023) was born in the city of Varash (formerly Kuznetsovsk) in the Rivne region, and later moved to Lviv with his family.

Studied at the Lviv Law Gymnasium and the Lviv Secondary Comprehensive School No. 33. He was educated at the Lviv State Institute of Advanced Technologies and Management named after the Hero of Ukraine Vyacheslav Chornovol.

In peacetime, he worked at the State Enterprise Lviv State Plant LORTA.

With the beginning of a full-scale invasion, he stood up to protect the Motherland from the Russian invaders. Defended the state as part of the 92nd separate mechanized brigade named after the head of the army Ivan Sirk of the “East” operational command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Performed combat missions in Kharkiv region and Donetsk region.

Maksym Deputat is survived by his mother and brother.

 

Roman Borovyk (19.02.1980-24.03.2023) Born in the city of Vinnytsia. He studied at the Communal Institution “Vinnytsia Humanitarian Lyceum No. 1 named after M. Pirogov”. After completing his studies, he went to Lviv to complete his military service, where he later remained to work as an ensign (today he is a “staff sergeant”). In parallel, he studied at the Ukrainian Academy of Printing.

In peacetime, he worked at Softserv Limited Liability Company. In 2014, he underwent military training at the “Beskid” tactical training center of the “Ukrainian Legion” public organization.

On the first day of the full-scale invasion, he joined the ranks of the 80th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade of the Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to defend the Motherland, and was a senior combat medic. Fought the invaders in the eastern direction.

Roman Borovyk is survived by his wife, three children, mother and sister.

 

Vladyslav Zahorulko (09.12.1999-29.03.2023) Born in the city of Sumy. He studied at the Communal Institution “Sumy Secondary School of I-III Levels No. 5, Sumy City”. Graduated from Sumy National Agrarian University.

In 2017, he moved to Lviv, where he received his education at the Religious Organization “Lviv Theological Seminary under the Lviv Regional Association of Churches of the Christian Faith of the Evangelical Faith”.

He worked in the construction industry, later in Poland. In his free time, he was fond of drawing and playing the guitar.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he went to war as a volunteer. He fought against the Russian invaders in the eastern direction in the ranks of the 2nd separate Galician brigade of the Western operational territorial unit of the National Guard of Ukraine.

Vladyslav Zagorulka is survived by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
