Tomorrow Lviv will say goodbye to three defenders

Tomorrow, Lviv will say goodbye to soldiers Ihor Severenchuk, Liubomyr Kramarivskyi, and Heorhiy Okul

 

On Saturday, August 17, Lviv will say goodbye to three soldiers. Ihor Severenchuk, Liubomyr Kramarivsky, and Heorhiy Okul were killed by Russian occupiers while defending Ukraine. Lviv City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and refrain from holding entertainment events and celebrations during this time.

The funeral ceremony for the defenders will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Ss. Peter and Paul, at 10:30 a city farewell ceremony will be held on Rynok Square.

The soldiers will be buried at Lychakiv Cemetery.

Biographical information about the defenders

Liubomyr Kramarivskyi (21.02.1981-09.08.2024) Lviv resident.

Liubomyr Kramarivskyi (21.02.1981-09.08.2024) was a resident of Lviv.

He studied at the secondary school №62. He first studied at the Lviv Polygraphic College and the Stavropigi Higher Vocational School in Lviv, and then entered the Ukrainian Academy of Printing. He also graduated from the Lviv branch of the European University.

He was engaged in private entrepreneurship in the printing industry. He was fond of gardening, loved to travel and adored spending time with his children. According to his family, “he was always a cheerful person, ready to give his last to help others.”

In April 2024, he stood up to defend his homeland from the invaders. He served in Sumy region in the 103rd separate brigade of territorial defense of the regional directorate “West” of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Liubomyr Kramarivskyi is survived by his parents, a pregnant wife, a one-year-old daughter and a brother.

Heorhii Okul (25.01.1980-10.08.2024) A resident of Lviv.

Heorhii Okul (25.01.1980-10.08.2024) was a resident of Lviv.

He studied at Lyceum #93 of the Lviv City Council. He graduated from the former Lviv Technical School of Railway Transport. He was directly involved in the construction of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

After graduation, he worked as an electrician at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. Subsequently, he worked at the Lviv Railway Regional Branch of the Ukrainian Railways Joint Stock Company, and most recently at Deos Release Limited Liability Company. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing billiards, was interested in military equipment and weapons, actively studied history and collected stamps.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he defended the state from the Russian invaders. He performed combat missions in the Luhansk region in the ranks of the 3rd separate assault brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Heorhiy Okul is survived by his mother, two sisters, two nephews, two nieces and his beloved girlfriend.

Ihor Severenchuk (17.12.1993-13.08.2024) Was born in Kyiv.

He studied at Lyceum No. 93 of the Lviv City Council and later entered the Specialized Children’s and Youth School of the Olympic Football Reserve “Karpaty”. He graduated from the Institute of Geodesy at Lviv Polytechnic National University.

After graduation, he was engaged in private entrepreneurship in the field of household waste removal services. Since high school, he was fond of football, was a member of the backup team of FC Hoverla, and also played for a number of Ukrainian and foreign clubs. He loved outdoor activities and traveling. According to his family, “he was extremely sincere and energetic, a natural leader, a loving husband and the best father in the world, an exceptionally responsible person.”

From the first days of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he volunteered to defend the state from the invaders in the 95th separate airborne assault brigade of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He took part in the battles for Dovhenke and Toretsk, liberated Izium and Lyman from the occupiers. Despite being wounded, he returned to the front every time. For his personal courage and conscientious service, he was awarded numerous decorations, including the Honorary Badge of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “Golden Cross” and the Order “For Courage” of the III degree.

Ihor Severenchuk is survived by his parents, wife, son and brother.
