Tomorrow, Lviv will say goodbye to defender Yaroslav Muryn

On Sunday, November 19, Lviv will say goodbye to serviceman Yaroslav Muryn, who died at the hands of the Russian invaders while defending Ukraine.

The City Hall calls on Lviv residents and visitors to refrain from entertainment events and celebrations at this time.

The serviceman’s funeral will begin at 2:30 p.m. in the Great Martyr Dmitry UGCC church (28A Zahirna St.). The soldier will be buried at the Ryasnyansky cemetery.

Studied at Secondary Secondary School No. 30. He received his education at the State Educational Institution “Lviv Higher Vocational School of Food Technologies”, later graduated from the National University of Food Technologies.

After completing his studies, he worked as a baker at the former Lviv Bread Factory No. 2, and also held the position of mechanic-adjuster of equipment at a local food industry enterprise. During the last period, he worked at the “Enjoy” enterprise near Lviv. He was fond of fishing, loved to spend his free time in nature. He was an exceptionally sociable person.

In March 2023, he joined the State Border Service of Ukraine as a volunteer. He defended the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the state as part of the 15th mobile border detachment “Steel Border” of the State Security Service.

Yaroslav Muryn is survived by his wife, sister and daughter.
