On Saturday, December 14, Lviv will honor the memory of Maksym Ibrahimov, a serviceman who gave his life defending Ukraine from Russian aggression. The city council urges residents and visitors to join the farewell ceremony and refrain from any entertainment activities during this time.
The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the Garrison Church of Saints Peter and Paul. Following the service, at approximately 11:30 a.m., a citywide farewell ceremony will take place at Rynok Square.
The fallen soldier will be laid to rest at the Lychakiv Cemetery.
Biography of Maksym Ibrahimov
Maksym Ibrahimov (November 29, 1988–November 6, 2024) was born in Kherson. He attended Kherson Lyceum No. 6 and later graduated from Kherson Polytechnic Vocational College. He pursued higher education in Computer Engineering at the National University “Odesa Polytechnic.”
Maksym worked at the “Epicenter” construction hypermarket in Kherson.
After the full-scale invasion began, Maksym’s family was forced to leave their home and relocate to Lviv. There, he joined the ranks of the 300th Training Tank Regiment of the 169th Training Center named after Prince Yaroslav the Wise and served in combat missions in the Donetsk region.
He is survived by his parents, wife, daughter, and two nephews.
