Tomorrow, October 26, Lviv will say goodbye to Hero Taras Podibka, who died in battle while defending Ukraine. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul, the serviceman will be buried at the Lychakiv cemetery. The City Hall urges you to join the farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertaining events and celebrations during this time.
The city farewell ceremony for the military man will take place at Rynok Square at 11:30 a.m.

Blue and yellow flags with a mourning ribbon will be hung on the buildings along the route of the convoy.
Biographical reference of the Hero
Taras Podibka (June 6, 1982-October 21, 2022). A native of Lviv.
Studied at secondary comprehensive school No. 54 in Lviv. In 2000, he graduated from the State Vocational and Technical Educational Institution “Lviv Higher Vocational School of Computer Technologies and Construction”. Subsequently, he graduated from the Ukrainian Academy of Printing, received a full higher education in the specialty “Computer-integrated technological processes and production”.
After completing his studies, he served in the ranks of the Separate Presidential Regiment named after Hetman Bohdan Khmelnytskyi.
In peacetime, he worked as an electrician at the Consumer Society “City Information Systems”. Since 2009, he held the position of the leading electrical engineer of the communication sector of the Lviv utility company “City Center of Information Technologies”.
Participant of the Anti-Terrorist Operation in 2014-2015. He fought against the aggressor as part of the 80th separate assault brigade of the Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. For his personal bravery, he was awarded the badges “Participant of ATO” and “War Veteran”.
With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he returned to the ranks of the 80th Separate Assault Brigade.
Taras Podibka is survived by his parents and older sister.
