On Wednesday, December 20, Lviv will say goodbye to serviceman Serhiy Fedoseyenkov, who died at the hands of the Russian occupiers while defending Ukraine. The City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertainment events and celebrations during this time.

The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul, at 11:30 a city farewell ceremony will take place on Rynok Square. Serhiy Fedoseyenkov will be buried at the Lychakiv cemetery.

Biographical certificate of the defender

Serhiy Fedoseyenkov (September 7, 1990-December 12, 2023) from Lviv.

Studied at Taras Shevchenko Lviv secondary comprehensive school of grades I-III No. 44.

After completing his studies, he worked in the construction industry in Lviv. In his free time, he was fond of fishing, liked to disassemble equipment. He was an exceptionally caring and considerate person, he adored his daughter. According to relatives, he was distinguished by a special cheerfulness and knew how to console in a difficult moment.

With the beginning of a full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, despite his lack of military experience, he voluntarily stood up to defend the Motherland from the invaders. He carried out combat missions in the eastern direction as part of the 214th separate special battalion OPFOR of the International Center for Peacekeeping and Security of the National Academy of Ground Forces named after Hetman Petr Sahaidachny.

Serhii Fedoseyenkov is survived by his parents, wife, 11-year-old daughter and brothers and sisters.
