In Bucha, Kyiv region, from 14 to 19 November, the national team of Lviv region competed at the Ukrainian U16 Freestyle Wrestling Championships.
The event was attended by boys and girls born in 2008-2009 from 24 national teams of Ukraine, a total of 354 boys and 113 girls. Among them were 39 athletes from Lviv region.
“According to the results of the competition, the wrestlers from Lviv region took first place among girls and fourth among boys,” said Roman Khimyak, head of the Youth and Sports Department of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
“Our athletes won four gold, four silver and four bronze medals at the Ukrainian Championship:

🥇1st place in the weight category up to 53 kg – Yuliia Holgovska
🥇1st place in the weight category up to 61 kg – Malkova Oleksandra
🥇1st place in the weight category up to 65 kg – Ivan Zalisko
🥈2nd place in the weight category up to 51 kg – Ivan Bezuglyi
🥈2nd place in the weight category up to 60 kg – Izai Dmytro
🥈2nd place in the weight category up to 40 kg – Anastasiia Verstyn
🥈2nd place in the weight category up to 43 kg – Sofia Lutsiv
🥉3rd place in the weight category up to 45 kg – Tokar Taras
🥉3rd place in the weight category up to 60 kg – Moroz Bohdan
🥉3rd place in the weight category up to 65 kg – Zozuliak Bohdan
🥉3rd place in the weight category up to 46 kg – Sendetska Sonya
Additionally, we would like to inform you that the largest final wrestling competitions – the Ukrainian Freestyle Wrestling Cup and the Ukrainian Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship – will take place from 3 to 5 December in Lviv at the athletics complex with a cycle track of the summer sports training base of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
