The electronic queue for crossing the border has become operational at 16 checkpoints

Less than a week after the launch of the electronic border crossing line, the service is fully operational at all 16 international road checkpoints. Currently, all trucks cross the border only according to the entry in the electronic queue. In general, more than 12,000 trucks are waiting to cross the border in the online queue.

“From the beginning of the launch of the service, we had checkpoints where the traffic in the electronic queue started immediately, and those where it was worth waiting for the end of the live queue that had accumulated earlier. At the weekend, the live queue ended at “Rava-Ruska” and “Krakivka”, thus all trucks cross the border only in accordance with eCherga. During the week of operation of the service, 9,500 trucks left Ukraine only through the electronic queue and almost 15,000 drivers registered in the system,” emphasized Serhiy Derkach, Deputy Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure. As of the morning of May 15, the largest electronic queue is at the Rava highway – Ruska – Khrebenne” – more than 2,800 trucks. Also, more than 2,000 vehicles are waiting online to cross the border through the checkpoints “Krakivets – Korchova” and “Yagodin – Dorogusk”. Traffic on the latter is already unlocked. In general, since the start of the eCherga pilot project in December of last year at the Yagodin-Dorogusk checkpoint, until May 15, 96,078 trucks crossed the border electronically, of which 88,000 were at Yagodin. During the same period, more than 38,000 drivers were registered in the system. The project “Electronic Border Crossing Queue” is implemented by the Ministry of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Ukrtransbezpeka, the State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine, the State Customs Service of Ukraine and the State Border Service of Ukraine, with the support of @USAID / UK aid to the TAPAS Project/Transparency and accountability in public administration and services
