How to get information about a person in captivity from the register of the National Information Bureau?

You can find out information about a prisoner of war or a civilian hostage by submitting a corresponding application to the National Information Bureau under the Ministry of Reintegration. To do this, you need to provide your personal data and inform the name of the person whose information is being sought.

You can submit such an appeal to the National Information Bureau through: – chat bots in Telegram and Viber; – e-mail: info@nib.gov.ua; – Ukrposhta or “New Post” at the address: 01133, Kyiv, str. Yevhena Konovaltsya, bldg. 36-B, year A2. In the near future, relatives will be provided with information about the prisoner, which is in the possession of the NIB. In addition, relatives of prisoners can receive information verbally by calling the hotline at the short number 16-48 or +38 (044) 287-81-65 (for calls from abroad). If you have materials that can be added to the register of the National Information Bureau, send them to the e-mail address: info@nib.gov.ua.

As a reminder, the National Information Bureau operates in accordance with the Geneva Conventions on the Treatment of Prisoners of War and on the Protection of the Civilian Population in Time of War.
