Hryhorii Valeriiovych was born and lived in Yavoriv for a long time. He studied at Yavoriv school No. 3 named after Taras Shevchenko, where he easily found friends. He was a sociable, cheerful and very active guy. He liked to play sports, especially biathlon.
He studied to become an agronomist. Hryhorii Valeriiovych gained military experience during his conscript service, but after leaving the army, he did not connect his life with it.
He worked at the Carpathian International Woodworking Company Yavipark LLC and at the Sievierodonetsk Plant of Thermal Insulation Products.
However, the full-scale Russian invasion changed his plans. In 2023, Hryhorii put on a military uniform and went to defend his family: his wife, daughter, parents, and sister.
He served in the 33rd separate mechanized brigade and held back the enemy in the Donetsk sector. However, on the night of February 9, he sustained a life-threatening injury as a result of mortar and artillery fire.
We thank the Hero for his immortal feat! We express our sincere condolences to the family, friends and comrades-in-arms of the fallen defender. May God accept him in His heavenly kingdom and grant him eternal rest.

Levada – Svyatoyurska Street – Shevchenko Street (near the KECh and the School near the Town Hall) – Lvivska Street (near the Town Hall) – I. Franko Street (Sokil CMC). a meeting will be held near the monument to the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred, where we will honor the memory of Kashtanov Hryhoriy.
