Maksym Zelenskyi, a defender from Sheptytske, died in hospital after being seriously injured

After being seriously injured in hospital on 20 November, the heart of Maxim Zelensky, the head of the gas protection and control section at Stepnaya mine, stopped beating.

The sad news was reported by Lvivvuhillya.

The administration of Lvivvuhillya, the Lviv Territorial Organisation of the Trade Union of Coal Industry Workers of Ukraine, the Regional Association of the Independent Trade Union of Miners of Ukraine in Chervonohrad, the workforce and trade union organisations of Stepova Mine, and the entire Prybuzhzhya mining community deeply mourn the death of the soldier who worked for many years at coal enterprises.
We express our sincere condolences to the family and friends on the irreparable loss! We bow our heads in prayer for the repose of his soul.

Maksym Anatoliyovych Zelenskyi was born on 31 July 1974. Since 2013, he has worked as an underground electrician, and since 2017 he has been the head of the gas protection and control section at Stepova mine of Lvivvuhillya. In May 2024, he was mobilised into the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

He lived in Sheptytske, Lviv region. The parents and wife, Maryna, an employee of the Stepova mine, relatives and friends are in mourning.
