The order of work of the media during martial law: clarification of the order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces

According to the order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine dated March 3, 2022, a list of objects that are prohibited for filming in wartime was formed for the media, as well as information that is prohibited to cover. The order also clarified the procedure for admitting members of the media to military facilities in the combat zone during martial law.

This was announced by the Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Oleg Nemchinov.

According to the order, it is forbidden to cover the media in wartime:

names of units and subdivisions, as well as their location
number of soldiers in units and subdivisions
number of weapons and equipment, their condition and place of storage
conditional marks of objects

Any information about:

operations carried out or planned
system of protection and defense of military units
available military protection such as: weapons and equipment (except visible or obvious)
procedure for attracting forces (military) and means (weapons)
intelligence gathering
movement and deployment of troops (name, number, routes)
military units and their tactics, methods of action
unique operations and how to perform them
the effectiveness of electronic warfare of the enemy
deferred or canceled transactions
missing or downed plane, ship and search and rescue operations
plans for the security of our troops (disinformation, camouflage, counteraction)
information and psychological operations that are conducted or planned
propaganda or justification of Russia’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine.
