Large-scale Initiative to Improve Medical Services for Veterans
In 2025, a large-scale initiative will be launched in Ukraine to improve medical services for veterans. The project provides an expanded package of free services at the primary health care level.
Who is eligible for the services?
- Combatants discharged from military service.
- Persons with disabilities as a result of the war.
What does the project include?
- Individual treatment plans.
- Advanced medical examinations.
- Psychological support, including cognitive-behavioral therapy.
- Treatment of combat injuries and chronic diseases.
- Rehabilitation programs.
- Assistance with musculoskeletal disorders.
Over 660 medical institutions across the country have already joined the project. Other institutions and private practitioners with a license for medical practice and a contract with the National Health Service of Ukraine for the ‘Primary Health Care’ package can also participate.
It should be noted that the financing is provided from the state budget within the framework of the support program for veterans and their families.
