Despite numerous information campaigns, despite the fact that burning garbage, dry grass, shrubs and other vegetation is prohibited and punishable by law in the form of a fine (for citizens from 3,060 to 6,120, for officials from 15,300 to 21,420), Ukrainians continue burn dry grass.
How dangerous is dry burning?
The uncontrolled spread of fire to residential buildings and nearby structures can cause houses and entire country villages to burn down. Ecosystem fires can ignite and damage power lines, gas and oil pipelines.
Forest fires, which lead to the death of animals and birds, a decrease in the growth of trees, soil fertility, weakening of forest areas, air pollution, climate changes, and therefore to huge economic and ecological losses.
We urge the residents of the community to prevent dry grass fires and to monitor the situation in their locality. Only conscious behavior and strict adherence to fire safety rules will help to avoid unpleasant consequences.
In the conditions of martial law, to deliberately destroy your LAND by burning dry grass is a CRIME!
Respect your own! Protect Ukraine from fire!
