The opening of the 28th exhibition project “Spring Salon” took place at the Lviv Palace of Arts

This year’s exhibition is dedicated to the 210th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko.

Today, on April 24, the Lviv Palace of Arts Cultural and Artistic Center hosted the opening of the 28th exhibition project “Spring Salon”. The exhibition features more than 260 paintings by 132 artists – members of the Union of Artists of Ukraine and other well-known artists – that impress with their variety of themes and styles.

This year’s exhibition is special – it is dedicated to the 210th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko.

“The opening of the Spring Salon is a traditional holiday for all art lovers. Nowadays we lack joyful, bright, kind emotions. And they are extremely needed. And the Spring Salon gives them to us. In addition to the wonderful colors of spring, we can also enjoy the amazing artistic colors here. We can admire the paintings, reflect, and be inspired by the thoughts and works of artists. It is so good that nothing can break this tradition.

I thank all the participants of the exhibition for their creativity, for giving us an incredible universe of their talents, and in them – Ukraine. Thank you to everyone involved in organizing this large-scale project for your work. I wish you to continue to increase the glory of our national art. Glory to Ukraine!” Iryna Havryliuk, Director of the Department of Culture, Nationalities and Religions at the Lviv Regional State Administration, greeted the audience.
