In Podryasny, Bandera Street was renovated: the works were financed by residents and the city council

In Podryasny, the street was renovated. S. Bandera under the co-financing program. Currently, this is the first case since the creation of the Lviv MTG, when community residents took advantage of the co-financing program and repaired an entire street with joint efforts.

“Four years ago, residents of the Pidryasne cottage cooperative decided to repair the central street in their neighborhood – Bandera Street. It was in a state of disrepair and needed repair a long time ago. They created an initiative group and began to pave the road on their own. At the request of the residents, the former village council initially helped them a little with financing. When the Lviv MTG was created, the initiative group appealed to the city council and the city contributed financially,” the department of the city agglomeration of LMR noted.

As noted by the head of the Railway District Administration, Ihor Savka, funds in the amount of 50% of the total cost of the works were allocated from the city budget for the repair of the street.

S. Bandera Street and pedestrians were completely paved with cobblestones. The part of the street that leads to Kiltseva was asphalted. In general, the length of the street is 1.3 km.

“It was not easy, but, as you can see, quite real. That’s why such programs should definitely be used,” Serhiy Yaremenko, the head of the Lviv Community Office in Ryasne-Ruskyi and one of the participants of the initiative group, shares his impressions.

“It is very good that the city supported such a cool initiative and made its contribution. This is a vivid example of cooperation between the city council and residents, which emphasizes how important it is to have a city co-financing program and to support such initiatives,” concluded Yurii Lukashevsky, head of the LMR city agglomeration department.

We will remind you that in the Lviv community, the street is being overhauled. Sadov, in Bryukhovychy.
