Last weekend in Chernivtsi, about seven hundred karateka took part in traditional international competitions – Chernivtsy Open 2022
This year, the tournament was extremely important for both the participants and the organizers: on the eve of the competition, a seminar was held by Olympic bronze medalist Stanislav Horuna, who is a role model and idol for thousands of karateka not only in Ukraine, but all over the world. And the competitions themselves took place during planned and unplanned power outages, but this did not become an obstacle – we thank the organizers for the good organization and the opportunity for karateka from all over Ukraine (and not only – representatives of Moldova also took part in the championship) to feel the spirit of competition on the tatami in such a difficult time time.
Sokal region was represented in these competitions by Anastasia Horbach, Vadim Knysh, Dmytro Knysh and Vladyslav Martyniuk.
Vladyslav Martynyuk managed to win bronze in the kumite cadet category -70kg, and Dmytro Knysh won bronze in the 12-13 year category – 42kg.
Congratulations to the winners!
