The Lemko culture festival “Lemko Vatra – Drohobych Region” will be held for the first time on 6 October.
The folklore and ethnographic festival will be held at the Volya Yakubov Cossack Sloboda. The festival programme includes Lemko music, master classes, a vernissage by folk artists, traditional Lemko dishes, etc.
When: 6 October, at 12:00.
Where: – Volya Yakubova village, Rakovets Cossack Sloboda
The festival guests will enjoy performances by creative teams and many different activities. Namely:
– vernissage of autumn compositions;
– Lemko Vatra;
– ethno-bazaar within the framework of the Drohobych Kram;
– Lemko readings;
– Lemko embroidery (master class by Oksana Sokol);
– artistic vernissage of works on Lemko themes;
– an art exhibition from the Kamenyar Art Centre
– cooking of bigus;
– master class on Lemko embroidery;
– a treat of bread made with Lemko cereals and Lemko sourdough from the ethnic complex “In the Yard” in the village of Pidhorodtsi;
– headscarves from Oksana Rudavska.
The special guests of the event are the Kyiv band Orchestra 59.
Entrance to the territory is free.
