The Regional Festival of Bandura Art took place in Stryi

It was held on the occasion of the 210th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko’s birth.

Recently, on March 27, the Regional Festival of Bandura Art was held for the first time in Stryi on the occasion of the 210th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko’s birth.

The festive event was organized to popularize bandura music. It was also organized to share the professional experience of bandura teachers from art schools.

The festival involved a large number of performers, namely 65 students and 24 teachers.

Novorozdilsk Children’s Art School named after O. Rudnytsky

Children’s art school in Bratkivtsi village

Skole School of Arts of Skole City Council.

Khodoriv Children’s School of Arts named after B. Yankivsky

Mykolaiv Children’s School of Arts

The Supervisory Board of the Regional Festival of Bandura Players of Stryi Region:

Chumak N.M. – teacher-methodologist of Drohobych IFC named after V. Barvinsky;

Hamar N.M. – senior lecturer at the Drohobych Barvinsky IFC;

Bondarenko V.A. – Director of Stryi Music School named after O. Nyzhankivskyi;

Dmytryshyn O.M. – teacher-methodologist, chairman of the Stryi Bandura Association.

All the participants received well-deserved diplomas for their skills, and the leaders of the groups were thanked for their fruitful, creative cooperation and significant contribution to the development and preservation of the national culture of Ukraine.

The bandura festival had a unique and warm atmosphere. We are grateful for the devotion and love of young bandura players for music, and to their parents for their understanding and support of teachers in their hard work. We are especially grateful to the school principals for their active role in the organizational process.
