Bruno Schulz International Festival to be held in Drohobych

This weekend, Drohobych residents and guests are invited to the XI International Bruno Schulz Festival, which will take place in the city of the author of The Cinnamon Shops on 7-13 July.

SchulzFest ’24 aims to build a series of mutually penetrating events and artistic performances: poems in shelters, performances by talented authors and musicians, plays, and performances.

Just like two years ago, the Festival organisers will place a special emphasis on poems in shelters.

During the Festival, connoisseurs of Bruno Schulz’s art will have the opportunity to listen to and meet Ryszard Krynicki, Yuriy Andrukhovych, Yurko Prokhasko, Pavlo Prukhniak, ks. Alfred Wierzbicki, Yuriy Vynnychuk, Ostap Slyvynsky, Jacek Podsiadlo, Tomasz Różycki, Bogumila Berdychowska, Oleksandr Boychenko, Hryhoriy Semenchuk, and Adam Michnik, Grzegorz Gaudin, Olena Rybka, Katarzyna Kuczynska-Koszany, Natalia Tkachyk, Krzysztof Chyzewski, Wlodek Kaufman, Oleksandr Irvants, Danylo Ilnytskyi and other dear participants.

There will also be an energetic concert by the Ukrainian and Polish bands Joryj Kłoc and the Orchestra of St. Nicholas, an acoustic performance by Yuri Andrukhovych with the Carbido band, interesting theatre projects from Madrid, Poznan, Warsaw, Drohobych, exciting art exhibitions and performances, poetry readings, literary meetings and presentations – all of this awaits visitors to the Drohobych International Festival during the seven intense festival days.
