Almost 600 young football players became participants in the project “Search and development of talents” in the Slavic community

Today, May 11, testing of young participants of the “Talent Search and Development” project was completed on the territory of the Slavska Territorial Community. Almost 600 children from 16 educational institutions of TG played mini-tournaments in football for three days. Trainers also joined the initiative – they had the opportunity to improve their qualifications.

The project was initiated by the Ukrainian Football Association in cooperation with FIFA, the UAF Football Institute and the National University of Physical Education and Sports of Ukraine.

“This project has a very important goal – to fulfill the dreams of children who want to play football. For them, this is a huge opportunity to show themselves. Every child here is talented. The most important thing that we can do from our side is to develop it, explain how much you have to work on yourself for the result, and motivate them to do it. The project “Search and development of talents” unites participants, they become team players and understand how important the spirit of joint victory is. At the same time, trainers have the opportunity to improve their qualifications. For the region, such an initiative is an opportunity to participate in the implementation of another cool project,” said the head of the Lviv OVA Maksym Kozytskyi.

According to the first vice-president of the Ukrainian Football Association Oleksiy Mykhailichenka, the Lviv region is a pilot in Ukraine where such a project is implemented. The purpose of the event is to identify young talents among rural residents and support their development in this direction. In Slavsky, the testing lasted for three days – from May 9 to 11, among children 7-12 years old. All participants were presented with awards, and the best football players will have the opportunity to study at the Football School of the Slavic Community.

By the way, in general, the organizers of the project “Search and development of talents” plan to protest more than 3,000 children and more than 200 trainers from all over Ukraine.

In addition, the Ukrainian Football Association presented the head of the Lviv Oblast with an award for his significant contribution to the development of Ukrainian sports. During his visit to Stryi region, Maksym Kozytskyi also inspected the place in the settlement of Tukhlya, where a new sports facility is planned to be built.
