This is reported by the football club “Karpaty”

One of the most successful Ukrainian coaches was born on February 1, 1951 in Vynnyky. Myron Markevich’s first coach was his father Bohdan Dmytrovych. Subsequently, he worked in the training group of Lviv “Karpat”, and in the early 1970s, Markevich Jr. got into the main team. The best years of his football career were spent in Lutsk, where he ended his career as a player, and later started coaching in the local “Torpedo”.

In the 1990s, Myron Bogdanovych returned to Lviv as a coach and became a symbol of the main victories of “Karpat” during the time of Independent Ukraine: he led the team to the final of the Cup of Ukraine and won the bronze awards in 1998.

Myron Markevich is a special figure for Kharkiv as well, where the coach won medals in the championships of Ukraine with the local “Metalist” for seven seasons in a row. In addition, the people of Kharkiv made it to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa League. Three years later, Markevych surpassed this achievement with “Dnipro”, which reached the final of the UEFA Europa League.

Myron Markevich’s coaching biography includes work with the national team of Ukraine, as well as experience as an official – for five years he headed the committee of the national teams of the FFU/UAF.

FC “Karpaty” sets ambitious plans for itself. We are convinced that the head coach Myron Markevich will be the guarantee of the implementation of these plans and will lead the team to prominent places in the top football division.
