Winners of children’s football tournament awarded in Drohobych

 

On Saturday, 29 June, the winners of the Galychyna Cup children’s football tournament were awarded at the football field of the I. Bobersky Children’s and Youth Sports School. The tournament was held in several stages and brought together many football fans from different regions of Ukraine.

Six teams competed with each other, demonstrating a high level of training and motivation to win. Galychyna U-14 became the tournament champions, with Halychyna Lyceum No. 1 taking second place and SC Stebnyk confidently taking third.

The teams Skala Morshyn, Halychyna Lyceum No. 2 and Progress Sofiyivskyi from Kyiv also competed for the victory in the tournament.

All winners of the competition received cups and medals for first place, while other participants were awarded commemorative medals for their participation in the tournament. The best players of the tournament were also awarded. Thus, according to the results of the evaluation, Ivan Shcherbak (Halychyna U-12) became the best scorer, Yaroslav Bun (Halychyna Lyceum No. 1) was chosen as the best goalkeeper, and Nazar Dmytriv (SC Stebnyk) was named the best player.

During the award ceremony, all the teams applauded the courageous defenders of Ukraine for the opportunity to participate in sports tournaments, develop and gain new sports victories and achievements.

The football teams were greeted by the Deputy Mayor for Humanitarian and Social Relations Yuriy Kushlyk, who wished the young players new heights in sports, development and improvement.

We are glad that our young people are growing up healthy and athletic. Even in this heat, you continue to train and conquer new sporting heights. Thank you all for taking part in the tournament. Today you all did a great job, and for each of you this game, like every other, is an experience and self-improvement. Therefore, I wish you success, development and victories,” Yuriy Kushlyk congratulated the participants.
