This Sunday, April 14, the second round of the 2024 Lviv Premier League Championship took place at the Yevhen Smuk Stadium in Yavoriv, where FC Kormil Yavoriv hosted FC Pyatnychany.
After singing the National Anthem of Ukraine, Father Roman Halamay performed a blessing and rite of passage for the football teams.
The opening of the football season was attended by: Yavoriv Mayor Ihor Grabovskyi with a welcoming speech and Volodymyr Kharkhalis, head of the NGO “Kormil” and regional deputy, who wished the team victory on behalf of Igor Patsula, president of FC “Kormil” Yavoriv.
War veteran Petro Kornaga, a soldier of the 63rd separate mechanized brigade and a member of the Pokrova Lviv AMP Football team, the first football team in Ukraine to include soldiers who received amputations in the combat zone, was given the right to kick the ball first.
During the break between the matches, the winners of the second stage of the All-Ukrainian School Cheerleading League “Side by Side” – the girls’ team of Yavoriv Lyceum – performed and played two football prizes provided by Kormil Group
With a score of 2:0, FC Kormil (Yavoriv) won the first football match at its home stadium. We congratulate the team on the victory and look forward to the next matches!
