Previously, Ivan Matlyak was a player of the local team “Legion”.
An open mini-football tournament was held in Slavsk, dedicated to the memory of Hero of Ukraine Ivan Matlyak, who was once a player of the local “Legion”.
This was reported in the Stryi district military administration.
Eight teams from Slavsk, Tukhla, Ternavka, Skole, Verkhnyi Sinyovydny and Girny took part in the tournament, which was held in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The team “Yunist” (Skole) won the gold, the team “Legion” from Slavsk won silver, and the team “Obriy” from Girny took third place.
The best player of the tournament was Rytsman Maksym – a player of the “Berkut” team (Tukhlia village), and the best goalkeeper – Yevhen Hnatyshyn from Skole.
It should be noted that 32-year-old Ivan Matlyak died in the Russian-Ukrainian war in April of last year, he was posthumously awarded the Order “For Courage” III degree.
