In Ukraine, in January-April 2023, the price of agricultural land rose by an average of 20%.
This was reported by Deputy Minister of Agricultural Policy for Digitization Denys Bashlyk.
At the beginning of the year, 13,000 such operations took place.
“Even if we remove the inflation factor, we see that growth continues. But in the regions that are close to hostilities, there is no such growth,” Denys Bashlyk stressed.
Thus, in the Lviv region at the beginning of May this year, the average price of 1 hectare of agricultural land was UAH 162,000, while at the time of the market opening it was UAH 51,000. In Kyiv region, according to him, during this time the price increased from UAH 48,000 to UAH 148,000 per hectare.
In Chernihiv Oblast, one hectare of land costs UAH 23,000 on average, while before the war it cost UAH 16,000-17,000, Bashlyk added, suggesting that the price increase is due to inflation.
