The land market in the Lviv region: the price of a share is twice as high as the average for Ukraine

Since the opening of the land market, namely from July 1, 2021, the Lviv region has once again confirmed the status of one of the most expensive regions of Ukraine in terms of the cost of land shares. At the same time, the region ranks last in terms of the area of alienated agricultural land.

The department of agro-industrial development of the Lviv regional military administration informs about this.

“If we talk about quantitative indicators, then 691 land shares with an area of 918 hectares were sold in the region. At the same time, the average cost of 1 hectare is about UAH 83,000, which exceeds the average price in Ukraine almost twice and is inferior only to Kyiv region,” said the director of the department, Tetiana Hetman.

The largest number of land transactions were conducted in Kharkiv, Kherson, and Dnipropetrovsk regions, and the least in Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattia, and Chernivtsi regions.

In total, in the territory of Lviv region, since the moratorium on land alienation was lifted, 2,815 transactions were carried out regarding agricultural land plots with a total area of 2.4 thousand hectares.

“It should be noted that the law establishes an important limitation, namely, until January 1, 2030, the sale price of agricultural plots of land allocated in kind (in the area) to the owners of land shares (shares) cannot be less than their normative monetary value. The average arable NGO in the region is 21.5 thousand hryvnias. However, as we can see, the actual sale price is more than 3.5 times higher,” – emphasized Tetyana Hetman.
