Yesterday, May 17, the Ukrainian judo championship among athletes under 16 years of age took place.

530 of the best young athletes from 22 regions of Ukraine gathered in the capital’s athletic arena.

During the fierce fight, which lasted until late at night, 18 sets of awards were drawn. With the support of the Department of Youth and Sports of the Lviv Oblast, almost three dozen athletes represented our region at the competition.

Andriy Lazarchuk, a 14-year-old resident of Lviv, managed to win the award. He fought in the weight category up to 66 kg, in which 59 talented participants competed.

Andrii demonstrated his unparalleled skill and endurance, but was unable to win in an extremely intense battle to reach the golden final. So in the end – a well-deserved bronze. LODA
