Oleksandra Khomenets, 19-year-old master of sports of Ukraine of the international class, who studies at the Lviv Professional College of Sports, won a silver medal in the weight category of 57 kg.
Oleksandra showed an even fight in the final with an athlete from Hungary, ending the fight with a score of 6-6. However, according to additional indicators, the judges gave preference to the representative of Hungary.
The athlete is trained by Orest Skobelskyi and Andriy Byrka.
Oleksandr Khomenets will receive 50,000 hryvnias from the Youth and Sports Department of the Lviv Regional State for the results of the championship. Another 25,000 hryvnias will be distributed equally among her coaches.
Last year Oleksandra became the silver medalist of the World Championship among women, the silver medalist of the European Championship among women, the bronze medalist of the World Championship among juniors and the European champion among juniors.
