Cheerleaders of Lviv region won the largest number of awards at the Ukrainian Championship

The 20th anniversary Ukrainian Cheerleading Championship brought together more than 1800 athletes from 15 regions of Ukraine and Kyiv in Lviv. The competition took place on March 16-17 at the Bosko Arena.

This is the first all-Ukrainian competition for cheerleaders in 2024, with 68 sets of medals in different age categories. More than half of them were won by cheerleaders from Lviv region.

Lviv region was represented by seven clubs. These were Lviv Angels (including the Dmytro Obbarius Children’s and Youth Sports School and the Dmytro Sydoruk Children’s and Youth Sports School), Nancy Dolls, Acro Moves, BeLLa, Splesk emojis, Olimp-L, and MAVKY.

LVIV REGION TEAMS WON 35 SETS OF MEDALS:

(including: 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medals – cheerleaders of the Dmytro Sydoruk Children and Youth Sports School; 2 gold medals – D. Obbarius Children and Youth Sports School)
🔹Nancy Dolls: 4 gold, 5 silver, 7 bronze

According to the results of the championship, Ukraine formed the youth, youth and adult national teams of Ukraine, which this year will compete at the World Championships in the United States, the European Championships in Norway and the World Cup in South Korea.

“Cheerleading is developing quite actively at the national level. A few years ago, the number of participants in the national championship did not exceed two hundred people, but today it is thousands of girls. This growth is due, in part, to the coordinated work of the Lviv Regional Cheerleading Federation and its head, Natalia Blazhko,” said Roman Khimyak, head of the Youth and Sports Department of the Lviv Regional State Administration.
